At Valley Trail Bike & Run, we believe in keeping great gear in action. That's why we've partnered with Sneakers4Good to give your old sneakers a second life through reuse and responsible recycling—and reward you for doing the right thing.

Here's the Deal

Donate a pair of sneakers + purchase a new pair of full-price shoes = free premium socks (up to $16 value). It's our way of saying thanks for helping us keep sneakers out of landfills.

How It Works

    Bring in a matched pair of clean, dry sneakers in any condition.
  2. Purchase a new pair of full-price shoes
    Our team will help you find the perfect fit for how you move.
  3. Receive free premium socks
    Get a free pair of premium socks (up to $16 value). Want a different style or an upgrade? Just pay the difference.

What Happens to Your Donated Sneakers?

All donated sneakers are sent to Sneakers4Good, where they're sorted and given new purpose:

  • Sneakers in good condition are cleaned, refurbished, and redistributed to people who need them.
  • Sneakers that are too worn are responsibly recycled into materials used for playground surfacing, athletic padding, and other repurposed products.

Either way, your sneakers stay out of the landfill and keep doing good.

Donation Requirements

To ensure donations can be accepted and shipped, please make sure your sneakers meet these guidelines:

  • ✅ Sneakers only (no boots, sandals, or dress shoes)
  • ✅ Matched pair (both left and right)
  • ✅ Clean & dry
  • ❌ Not wet, moldy, or falling apart

Sneakers that don't meet these requirements cannot be accepted—but we appreciate your effort to donate responsibly!

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I donate sneakers without buying new shoes?
Absolutely! You're welcome to donate sneakers anytime during store hours. The free sock reward is only available with the purchase of a new pair of full-price shoes, but donations are always appreciated and still help keep sneakers out of landfills.

Do all donated sneakers get reused?
No. Only sneakers in good condition can be reused and redistributed. Worn or damaged sneakers are responsibly recycled into new materials.

Why is the sock value capped at $16?
The program includes up to a $16 sock value, which covers most of our premium performance socks. If you'd like a higher-end pair, you can upgrade by paying the difference.

Can I donate more than one pair?
Yes! We'll gladly accept multiple pairs of sneakers. However, the sock reward is limited to one per qualifying shoe purchase.
