Valley Trail Bike & Run is actively looking for quality used bikes for our new Consignment Program. If you've got a ride sitting in the garage, we'll help you sell it — no hassle, no online listings, no strangers showing up at your door.

Stop by the shop anytime and ask to speak with our mechanic. No appointment needed.

How It Works

  1. Bring your bike in for an evaluation. Our mechanic will assess the bike's condition and eligibility at no charge.
  2. We agree on a price. Pricing is based on Bicycle Blue Book value — fair, transparent, and market-driven.
  3. We tune it up and list it. Your bike gets a reduced-price tune-up starting at $50 and goes on the floor ready to sell.
  4. You get paid when it sells. Choose cash or store credit — your call.

Consignment Terms

  • Reduced-price tune-up: Starting at $50. May increase based on safety and operational requirements — you'll be notified before any additional work is done.
  • Commission fee: 30% if you take cash / 20% if you take store credit.
  • Pricing: Set based on Bicycle Blue Book — not seller-determined. We'll walk you through it together.

What Bikes We Accept

We're selective — and that's a good thing. Our mechanic evaluates every bike to ensure it meets our quality standards. Here's what we look for:

  • Quality bikes from reputable brands
  • Bikes in rideable or near-rideable condition
  • No big-box store bikes (e.g., Walmart, Target)
  • Caution on unknown online brands
  • No hard age cutoff — but older bikes must justify their resale value relative to comparable newer options

Buy with Confidence

Every consignment bike on our floor has been evaluated and tuned up by our mechanic before it goes on sale. We only accept quality bikes from reputable brands — no big-box store bikes, no unknown online brands.

Pricing is based on Bicycle Blue Book value, so you're getting a fair deal on a bike that's been vetted by people who actually ride.
