The name's Wheelie Nelson – and yeah, I know what you're thinking. With the bandana, the braids, and the free spirit vibe, I might remind you of a certain legendary musician. But here's the real story...

How I Got Here (and My Name)

For years, I explored every trail, peak, and hidden grove in these Virginia mountains – just me, my boots, and the open sky. But somewhere along the way, I realized something: the best adventures are the ones you share. So I wandered down from the high country and found my way to Valley Trail Bike & Run, where the Nelson family welcomed me with open arms and gave me my name.

"Wheelie" for my love of bikes (and my tendency to pop wheelies on the trails), and "Nelson" after the family who took me in. The fact that I happen to rock a bandana and braids like another famous Nelson? Pure coincidence – but I'll take it! Turns out bigfoot and Willie Nelson have a lot in common: we both love the outdoors, good music, and living life on our own terms.

Now I'm on a mission to help folks like you explore the great outdoors with the same confidence and joy I've felt for all these years.

What Gets Me Stoked

Technology, baby! You should see my face when I first rode an e-bike – I thought it was magic. Turns out, it's just really good engineering. Whether it's the latest trail shoe tech, a slick new gravel bike, or gear that makes your adventure more comfortable, I'm all about it.

Music & the mountains. Whether I'm cruising down a trail or hiking to a summit, you'll find me with my bandana, my braids, and a song in my heart. I'm a free spirit who believes life's too short for bad vibes or boring trails. Take it easy, be kind, and keep moving forward.

Helping newcomers. Never been on a trail? First time on a bike? That's my favorite. Everyone starts somewhere, and I'm here to make sure you feel welcome, equipped, and ready to roll.
